After obtaining degrees in Engineering from Mississippi State University and a Master in Public Health from University of Southern Mississippi, I have worked for the City of Gulfport for 23 years and have valuable Xperiences and relationships.
Some of my Accomplishments are listed below:
· The Youngest ever appointed Director in the City of Gulfport at 28 years old. (Public Works)
· Managed/Operated Public Works and Engineering Department with 200 employees for all but 2 years of my career. Directed both Departments for 6 years. Completed over 800 total projects.
· My leadership and ideas, along with assembling an impeccable staff, brought the Public Works Department up to National Standards and ready for the APWA Accreditation which we received in 2016.
· I was present during Hurricane Katrina and have remained employed with the City and managed the recovery projects throughout until FEMA/OIG have finished their audits of the over $200 Million in 2020.
· I was given the Public Works Director of the Year in 2006 by American City and County magazine for our department's work after Hurricane Katrina.
· Testified in Court as the City’s Corporate Representative and Xpert Witness in many eminent domain, water/sewer private comp. acquisitions, etc.
· Managed and Designed over $200 Million in Streets, Drainage, Water, Waste Water, Bridge, Landscaping, Building, and Traffic projects.
· Worked with many types of funding sources and have relationships in many of these organizations such as MDMR, MDA, MDEQ, MDOT, FHWA, FRA, CDBG, NRCS, FEMA, MEMA, MSDH, GRPC, HCUA, and USEPA.
· Developed the first Roundabout Project in Gulfport at Airport Road and created the “Capacity Estimator Model” in SCADA with Mission Communications.
Georg Friedrich Bernhard Riemann (17 September 1826 – 20 July 1866) was a German mathematician who made contributions to analysis, number theory, and differential geometry. He helped with Einstein's Theory of Relativity. In the field of real analysis, he is mostly known for the first rigorous formulation of the integral, the Riemann integral, and his work on Fourier series. His contributions to complex analysis include most notably the introduction of Riemann surfaces, breaking new ground in a natural, geometric treatment of complex analysis. His famous 1859 paper on the prime-counting function, containing the original statement of the Riemann hypothesis, is regarded as one of the most influential papers in analytic number theory. Through his pioneering contributions to differential geometry, Riemann laid the foundations of the mathematics of general relativity. He is considered by many to be one of the greatest mathematicians of all time. I am truly honored be a Riemann from this blood line.
Engineering Xcellence is a registered LLC presently operating in the State of Mississippi under Business ID 1252596 and Federal Tax ID 64????? and remained in good standing since its inception on January 6, 2021. Engineering Xcellence was originally established and continues to operate in the City of Gulfport under Business License No. ????. We believe that a Xample of Good Business is a "handshake".
The Logo is made up of primary of a "X" which is a tribute to the Great generation "Generation X".
The Symbol used for Engineering Xcellence is the Riemann Sphere. In mathematics, the Riemann sphere, named after Bernhard Riemann, is a model of the extended complex plane, the complex plane plus a point at infinity. This extended plane represents the extended complex numbers, that is, the complex numbers plus a value ∞ for infinity. With the Riemann model, the point "∞" is near to very large numbers, just as the point "0" is near to very small numbers.
In geometry, the Riemann sphere is the prototypical example of a Riemann surface, and is one of the simplest complex manifolds. In projective geometry, the sphere can be thought of as the complex projective line P1(C), the projective space of all complex lines in C2. As with any compact Riemann surface, the sphere may also be viewed as a projective algebraic curve, making it a fundamental example in algebraic geometry. We are Proud to use this Symbol.
